not sure hence why i asked,thought some were cast some were forged

They will have "MAHLE" on the underside of them iirc.

And no some are cast, early ones are forged

you should be able to tell by looking underneath the piston

a cast piston will have smoother and quite intricate shaped cant into it, whereas a forged piston will usually have sharper corners and a lack of deatil, as it has been machined

Yep thats how i was told what to look for.

think the forged mahles have 86p on the underside of the piston
