Hi does anyone know wether or not there is any regulations for bucket seates on the road? as i was planning on running OMP Record 2's but aparently they arent road legal due to the fact they restrict your vision, i could be missing an obvious point or something but i have tried looking on the web but i cant find anything, just interested before i blow thatmuch cash on them
i would post a picture but not enough posts yet
cheers:thumb:

I'm planning on using the Corbeau equivalent with big ears, I don't think there'll be an issue come MOT time. I trial fitted mine and all you can really see much except the B pillar through the ear!

I've seen cars driving to PV with 'em fitted too so don't worry about it and buy them :D

Hmm, there doesn't seem to be anything in the MOT manual about seats restricting the view, and the "drivers view of the road" section only really seems to be concerned with the forward view.

I'd say as long as you can see your wing mirrors and out the side windows you should be Ok.

if they are fitted to proper rally cars, then they have to be road legal

when running buckets and harnasses, you also need a rollcage imo.

with normal seatbelts you can hang to the passenger side if youre rolling it over, with harnasses you keep sitting straight, and the space between youre head and the nova roof isnt that big...

no they are off a friend who bought them for a sprint car and then had to move house so he needs the cash and is selling them again

Go sit in 'em and find out! They look like the Corbeau Forza/Cobra Monaco steel frame base mounted ones? Not as light as the fibreglass backed seats...

They look a newer version of mine, i don't think they are too bad tbh
