After selling the Cavalier and in the hunt for a car, i found this.

Needs a few bits (Lowered more and a change of wheels etc) but looks good and is very clean!

My first Mk2 and kinda growing on me!

I used to have a mk2 gti, till I realised what a big bucket of ar5e they are. Problematic, overengineered and unreliable. So I bought a cav instead and haven't looked back.

Mk2s are definitely growing on me. I'd still rather have a Jetta though :d

lol I saw one in the snow ridden commute this morning, how I chuckled & thought that must be a handfull. lol

Golf looks clean, but the wheels are rank & a mk2 Astra GTE is far cooler.

there is a set for sale here... 1000 euro incl. almost new tyres and adaptors.

there polished in a special way, i dont know how you uk guys call it. the wheels go in a machine with small foam blocks and the wheel stays in there for hours. the pores (right word??) are closed that way, so the shine as hell and dirt/brakedust etc. doesnt get into the shine as with normal polished wheels.

never seen it in the uk, it's very popular overhere, loads of germans, belguim and dutch guys get it done.
it is expensive, about 6-700 euro for a set.

there is a vid about it, i just cant find it atm lol

the wheel goes into a machine like this for about 50 to 60 hours!
you get more shine then with normal polishing, but it's not as fake looking as chrome.

here is the vid, it is in german, but you get the idea.
