View Full Version : *INFO* Nova / Corsa A option codes
Hi
Did anybody ever wonder, what are all those "strange" numbers and letters on one of the plates that are on the front panel?
Like this one

There actually POC codes (purchase option codes) as you say in all your jargon they do mean something . I was trained at vauxhall on there EPC systems and was the font of all knowledge one time !!! How very interesting the course was (sarcasm)

wonder what number lazer blue is?
@iainel: 2H6 = 14NZ engine
The X02 should be XQ2, all Vauxhalls have that code
@Mazz:
AU3 = Door lock, electric
W8G = Radio, 203-T(G) never seen one like that lol
T39 = turn signal, it's the one on the wing
T6F = Trim panel, super sport (would be GTE)
XN8 = For Great Britain
@Rich:
T5C = Emblem, City Plus
The codes like F and S are not in EPC, right. I don't know yet, what they mean, but will hopefully find out soon. Means all 1- and 2-digit codes are a mystery atm

I have B91, W8X and also W9D that i dont know what they mean??
Also my car is 1992 and not 1993 which i find a little strange??
Joe!!
W8X = Additional parts, for radio installation
W9D = Reduced equipment
Are you sure about the B91? As there's no such POC. Is it not B81?
I your Nova is a 92 or 93, you can see it in the VIN. If it's with a N, it's a 92. 93s have a P

Sorry steve it is B81..
Any info on Reduced equipment and additional parts for radio installation??
Thanks
Joe!!:thumb:
Additional parts for Radio should be the front speakers and the wiring
Reduced equipment? good question, was the car a Merit? Maybe then it had no center console, no cigarette lighter, no light in the trunk and glovebox, no clock

No-one else got some codes?? :(
I'd like to know:
- If other Sport owners can confirm the T5C code (thx to Novasport)
- The code for the early sun roof
- The code for the headlamp washers
- The Vans should have a special code too
- Later MK1 SRs
- Folding roof
- ...
Cheers

No-one????? :confused::confused:
I'll get my Nova Sport codes when the snow clears and I can open the garage door!!!!
mine is just a simple mk2 joy, nothing special about that.
When i can, i will some of Tina's Antibes, that should have some weird one on it!
That would be great :thumb:
Finally got EPC3 working and was looking around and found this monster POC list :)
Couldn't fit it all in here, so copied it to pastebin
http://pastesite.com/12994
Enjoy!
xf1 is a blatant lie hahaha!
sports should have z1a somewhere also, (2 speed blower)
@Mazz: Ok, great, but that's the list for all models. It does not specify which ones are for the Nova
My Sport:
S F08 SC8 2R LX9
TSC F
CF3 XN8
Hmm, interesting
I suppose that the TSC should be T5C. That would confirm the code form Rich's Sport. Means it is the specific Sport option code
CF3 on a Nova?? It's for REMOVABLE ROOF COVER,TRANSPARENT, surely not for the Nova
And don't do have the XQ2 on it?

Right, thought I would check the new Sport as PaulW needed some details on my plate.
Again it confirms the T5C as being a Sport code.
My new Sport is as above but also has the code W1G, the W codes seem to relate to the radio equipment or lack of, but this ones not on the list.
My Sport has an aerial fitted and comes with an original brown faced basic radio so poss relates to that.
does that confirm that sports have t5c?

so if you have a white 1300 nova with t5c in the plate its a sport?

Possibly, ID would need confirming with Andrew Deurden though.
What have you got?
W1G is for CD changer. So surely not on a Nova

It may just be U5? The plate is very badly corroded.
U5 is a Nova code, but I have no details for the 2-digit ones
