You might have to get a bracket welded into the chassis of the car where the 2 parts of the seat meet. This is to help support the seats when they are in the upright position. If you can't get a bracket welded in, you can always try fastening the seats together. A friend did this when he took my old interior. He used a small piece of metal (about 5cm x 1cm with a couple of holes in, you can get them from most DIY stores) and used this to hold the two parts of the seat in place.

Yes a rear headrest conversion is possible on 60/40 split

no need to weld an A piece to hold the seats in place - I just got one of them metal fence clamps ( shaped like this [ ), hammered it flat and then bent one end into a loop so both seat pins would sit into it, Then with another fence post hammered flat, I twisted it so that it bolted to the 1st one and then drilled it and screwed it to the wall of the spare wheel well! Just bolt it from the underside - no rust/water gets in coz its well up into the body and protected from splashes etc.

Easy!

To stop is squeeking I just wrapped a bit of electrical tape around both pins

I'll post a pic tomorrow - if I remember.

yep that does the job.

and you don't even have to weld the other bracket, its handier to just rivot it on
