ok, im fitting a GTE head and inlet to a 1400 SPi (SR) block and dropping it into my 1L saloon

ive been looking at the fuel issues and ive came up with the following options:

1. get a 1.2 - 1.4 carb tank and connect GTE pump to it (locky is running this system and it works great)

2. keep the 1.0 tank, connect a GTE pump and fashion some kinda return feed somehow

3. Buy a 1.2 - 1.4 SPi tank and use SPi pump - problem with this is im sure the SPi has some kinda vent that leads to a carbon canister to filter the fuel vapour into the inlet manifold and i dunno how i'd go about hooking this up on my car

so which option would be the easiest and best

thanks

keeping the 1L tanks not really a very good option, especially when its so easy to get a tank with a proper fuel return.
either of the other two tanks should do the job, theres no need to worry about the carbon canister either, its not essential the tank can just be vented to the air, the canisters were only fitted to help reduce emissions.

the pipe to the carbon can is the same as the normal vent pipe.... just remove the extender bit and it's like a normal vent

ok so where does the vent go??

which ever is cheaper :P

the tank that you've got now should have a vent so just put the new one wherever the old one was.
