Mk2 > Mk1

Hey guys quesion is, if I get the wings, lights and grill from a mk1 is it a straight fit onto a mk2. I already have the GTE bumpers fitted if that makes any difference. Cheers :thumb:

you need the headlight clips, and on mine the connector for that small light is different.

Where could I get the clips from and do you have a picture to show what's different? I don't get what part you mean. =S

clips, vaux or scrapyard.

in the headlight, you have 2 bulbs, the main bulb (H4) and that small light in the corner. the connector for that small light was different on mine.

you need 4 clips i will get the part number for you later mate you can buy four of me if you want ill check how many i have

you will also need the mk1 bumper iron brackets that bolt to the car as the mk2 items are longer.

and as mayhem said the sidelight bulb holder you will need with the mk1 headlights as the mk2 item is differant

The bumpers are on. Will sort clips if you have some and how would I go about sorting the sidelights out?

yea the bumpers are on but the mk2 headlights stick out further than the mk1 items so when you fit the mk1 headlights there will be terrible gaps. but if the bumper iron was off the mk1 youll be fine.

as for the sidelight holders you best off asking some one who is breaking a mk1 to cut them off the loom for you and just joining it on

it will be a case of comparing the brackets against mk2 items.

when you get the bumper off next measure the L shape bracket that bolts to the iron and ill get out and measure mine for you
