Right am 18 and have been bought up around bikes, got my first proper bike when I was 13, got a ped when I was 16 and a 125 when I was 17, then I past my bike and car test a few months later.
So I would consider myself a young biker..

So any one else on here into bike?? What do you have etc??

looks tidy, thanks for the coment. we had a 1200f a few years ago, step dad has a brand new cb1000r, has a decat and a custom made stainless cone exhaust, goes very well

I got the usual shed full of mini motos and got my road bike (derbi senda xtreme 09plate) my brother has an original Italian import tzr125 (Marlborough special edition) and a mk1 ninja 600 streetfighter.

Ninja is undergoing a rebuild ATM and the tzr is having it's panels resprayed will see if I can grab some pictures but the ninja isn't looking too pretty ATM xD

I spent years on bikes, then I was a bike instructor teaching nerds to fall off them safely. Sold my bike to pay for a holiday to Florida I miss it everyday. Bikes ftw. :)

Never got a speed in mph but when your on somthing that is about 3ft tall it feels faster than it is.

Wish i still had the last one, crashed it after i had rebuilt the engine, still got the scar on my back lol

Had nos and loads of other ****, different reeds (thats the name right? cant remember lol), was 49cc with a slightly bigger bore, decent air filter and cold air feed, decent exhaust plus the tyres were slicks.

Spent loads of money on it.

Most of the time it can be good, all you need is one idiot to spoil your day though, 8am start, 7pm finish sometimes. You could teach over 20 people over the whole weekend.

Law of averages suggests you will get the village idiot sooner rather than later.

Get to the Isle of man for the TT, awesome.

Also do a road trip to Scotland, higher the better. No plod, mega views. They must be the best roads in the UK. :)

I have had 3 Vfr 400's.

You can wring it's neck everywhere and it won't bite back. Excellent bike. :)

When you can upgrade to a 600, Gsxr, R6 anything like that. Very similar to the 400, easy to ride and you'll have more fun on that than a 1000cc bike.

Well I have ridden a SP1, cbr900r and a cbr1000rr and didn't like them as they were just to ****in fast, and seemed to have a high seat height. Yet my step dads cb1000r is just amazing and handles like a much smaller bike. I know what you mean about the 600s though, I rode my mates old zx6r and it was just like riding mine but with an extra 35bhp :D

Bit of a stupid thing to say dont you think ? Generlisation.... ? Bikes can certainly go round corners plenty fast enough it just takes a rather high amount of skill !

Myself i've always been into bikes, got my first at 14, a Kawasaki AR50 which i used to ride around the local forestry commision tracks, come 16 i got a 2003 Derbi Senda SM with a 80 kit and all other selection of parts on and i thought i was the boy !! Ha ha lol.... it would do 75mph on the flat mind :) ha come 17 i'd saved up enough to buy a brand new (2005) Yamaha XT125X which was awesome !!! Again put loads of different bits on that including an Arrow exhaust which sounded mint ! :D rode that for about 10 months until passing my test, of course i wanted a big bike straight away so kinda bought the first thing i saw a 1996 Honda NTV650 which felt like a complete rocket ship after getting off a 125 !!! rode that for about a year and then bought a 2000 Honda CBR600 which i still currentley have. So yeh perosnally i love bikes !!! Just a pitty that the weather is so so so crap here ! :(

example when you was 18 you had to ride for 2 years restricted until you got let loss on full power. But at the age of 21 you could ride fully unrestricted? is that still correct?

Am 20 at the moment and waiting till 21 to hopefully do the test and and not have to mess around with 33bhp machines :)

you can do direct access at 21 which means you can ride owt, or you can get your A1 restricted licence wen ur 17 (like i did) and ride up to 33bhp without L plates for 2 years. so if your 20 wait till your 21 and do direct access othwise u will be waiing till ur 22 to ride big bikes

Hopefully next year ill upgrade to a 125 for the summer days, but this does me perfect for now

I've got a CBR400 NC29 at the moment and i love it.

my bike history started with off roaders, then a crappy RX50 on the road, then progressed to here :d i love bikes, just so different to cars, you just feel free. and you can p*ss all over most cars even on a 400 lol

makes you a more observant driver too, as you have to pay far more attention to the road surface and your surroundings on a bike, so you tend to drive more defensively too

I wouldn't get a Cr125 on the road, a CRm125 maybe but not a cr, it would be fine for a month but I really wouldn't want to trust it :D
I have kinda learn't my lesson in ****in with engines, yes great if you dont use it but don't expect to run a high compressioned big carbed, huge port single 2 stroke on the road for long. :D

Been around bikes for years. Raced Moto-X whist at school/college. Gave all that up to pass my test. Did my full license August 2007 was laid up in a hospital bed June 2008 after a serious brush with a tractor/death!!! Havent thrown my leg over one since.
