I have some mate real carbon to be bonded over standard mirrors, not really keen to sell as being rare, but might be persuaded

got any pics of them ?, what would it take for you to part with them!?
i bought some real carbon dtm style mirrors of a guy but i'm not happy with them as there not the best condition.

These are them, they are a very thin cap that need to be bonded to the original cover (they are behind them in the image). They are in good condition but I'd say for a truly flawless finish they should be flatted back and relacquered.

That does actually looke quite nice. ome carbon fibre effect vinyl would suit them nice tbh. I'm usually not a fan of carbonfibre wannabe shizzle but this looks fairly good quality.

Graeme

Vinyl looks bad imo, it'd have to have joins/seams, these are the real thing

Sorry geeza when I said carbon fibre vinyl I meant the B pillars. Would match up nice with the mirrors, probably lol

Best place is to get them made.

I have had a few things done by Don Fulford. He used the origonal part and covers it in real carbon & laquers it. The origonal item is still behind so still fits like oem.

Whilst you're here, and we've already established your love of the pixel, is this the missus?

e-mailed don carbon about them, they said 80 quid plus postage and they need a set of covers as well.

You have to pay to ship them to holland and back plus pay via bank transfer which costs approx £20 too. By the time you've finished they will have cost you around £120. Ive used Don many times for my previous car and his work is excellent but it does come at a price. Now and again you see a few of them mirror cover sets come up on ebay so you may be best keeping an eye out on there. For some examples of his work take a look at my wip thread on the link below. It may also give you a heads up on the carbon bonnet you have. ;)

£80 on a group buy? It's a tad steep... almost vertical! I'd expect that price when bought individually. Such a shame they're not a tad cheaper.

Oh right, so what if we asked him about a group buy with a minimum number of people? What would the discoutn be to us?

I'm pretty sure we could get a good amount of people.
