Would a door lock fit into the space on an early Mk1 tailgate ?

Propably would fit, but the original boot lock is made with a casing that sits on an angle so it might look a bit dodgy.

never saw it done though so you never know.

You a close up picture of yours ? Don't want to smooth it off then have no way into the boot lol

Central locking motor for the popper.
