mk1 central locking

Hi all putting central locking into my mk1 nova but cant remember how the setup of the door pins? do i need the mk2 door mech or can i still use the mk1? thanks

all the door mech's are the same but you need the rods that go from the solenoid to the door button rod.

i think i remember the rod has a hole in it then it goes over the door pin. yes? no?

yes the door button rod goes through the hole in the CL one and fits back on the mech the same way it came off.
