Want some bright LED bulbs for behind my speedo clocks as the standard ones, like most standard things on a nova are crap!

What bulb type is it that i need to buy?

Also, behind the heater controls, what size bulbs are they, as all of mine ave gone, and can i get LED versions of those?

The bulbs for the instruments are "twist lock" bulbs (509t) check ebay for uber bright LED replacements, pick your colour (white to stay tasteful)

Heater controls are "286" again brighter LED replacements available.

above is spot on

HOWEVER

LED 286 bulbs are crap in the heater position, even the wide angle type. the standard bulb is brighter but gets hot hot so always goes bang, its fail fail

ive been tyring with mine

only thing im gonna try next it reflective mirror backing inside the heater control panel

I dont think its so much that the bulbs get hot i just think they arnt designed to last very long as i have had loads of different ones over the years and none last longer than a month or two. just end up clutering up my toolbox like im hoping they will just start working again if i keep them long enough! lol.

was looking for plasma dials last night. Couldnt find any for a nova. Cav dials are nice, but dont really wanna chop the dash up because id do it wrong anyway!

mook at Skewer.co.uk (http://www.skewer.co.uk/) could make up some plasma dials to suit Novas. They'd be expensive BUT you could have whatever style you liked.
