:( Insurance + tax runs out at 23:59pm tomorrow night and with these renewal quotes being £1100+ compared to the £700+ i was getting mid 09 i can't afford to renew her.

Sooo... i suppose it's not all bad... The nova will be in the garage for a few month unless it gets sold and i can still rarely use my dads new zafira. Hmmm...

Anyone else having problems with renewals over this winter????

Mrs had problems getting insurance this year, shopped around for 4-5days and the cheapest quote was just more than double what last years premium was. Last years was £330 f/c with both of us on the policy, this years is £740.
Tried sky, but they won't cover this area. Shame :(

me and kelly renewed ermmm a month or so ago. and it was about the same. as we went from yearly paying to monthly and they always stick abit on for them selves lol.

2 people under 25 for about 400-450 is alright imo.

i phone my insurance up a few years back and complained my mate was insured on a merc slk cheaper than my calibra and they knocked £400 of just like that lol

Have you tried flux, no one has matched or even come anywhere near the quotes they gave me for my 1.2 (all mods declared) and for a 1.6 16v, no one could touch them.

And yes I've heard all the horror story's about them canceling insurance if you miss a month (which is bull**** as I aint paid this months and have til the 8th of Jan before they cancel) although I've never had to claim yet.

Yeh, since renewing, iv had non stop trouble, from what is the most shoddy insurance company ive ever been with, and same with my old girl, and shes been driving about 30years.

Flux have always been ok for me tom,they seem to be very cheap but sometimes there admn etc leaves a lot to be desired,my old nova came back as being an se2 calibra for a few months with flux!
