does anyone know if its possible to change the mileage on standard clocks,
my car has only one 40k so i would like to try and keep that mileage on the clocks

i dont have a rev counter at the moment and my fuel guage dosent work so i was thinking about changing them

also how do i get the rev counter to work

You need to strip the clocks down and on the back of the speedo there will be a pin - You need to chap it out slowly and turn the numbers back or forward and then chap the pin back in each time you move the number to its correct/new position

For the revcounter you might need to run a wire from the back of the clocks to the negative of the coil I think it is

My Mk2 already had the wire there so it was a plug and play job

Shouldn't do, a Haynes manual would be handy

you might be able to switch the speedo heads over complete if your lucky, no risk of breaking the counter cogs then and if anyone asks its the original unit.
