View Full Version : Haynes Internal Combustion Engine
Built one of these today, got it as a Christmas present. Pretty fun, good practice for the XE I'm building lol For those that haven't seen them, it's a plastic airfix-style kit where you assemble everything in to a "working" engine (runs off a little motor and simulates sparkplug spark with a little LED!)

wow man they are pretty funky. might have to get one
there are a few people on here who could do with one of these......cough cough.....
it looks quite a laff, how long did it take you???
Took me the afternoon, doing it on and off with some other stuff. That includes time for soldering one of the wires back on to the motor that I managed to snap off. lol Could probably do it in a couple of hrs if you concentrated on it.
i put a whole digger engine back together in 3hrs.....
there were probably a lot less components in the digger engine & you could get away with the odd bit of hitting with a hammer.. whereas yours is more like putting a watch together

seen these in the local motor factors, they do look pretty funky and are based on the older engines that had fan belt driven fans
