 Alright people this is the score, ive just bought my self a 5 door F reg Nova , its in top condition and as i am 17, it should do me the business for a while. Anyway i cant afford to do it up major at the moment, so ive opted for a nice set up of ICE, sony cd headunit, 800w 4 channel amp, sony front door 140w speakers, and pioneer 300w 6x9's. Im about to get it fitted, but i am wondering about my parcel shelf, will it vibrate and be able to withstand the weight etc of my 6x9's, as i want the best sound as i can possibly get. Any suggestions?, Anyway big help if you could suggest sdomit, cheers, chris, (first time modder)

your standard shelf will have no chance at supporting 6x9s. you need to buy a sealth shelf but can cost up to 70 quid, or you can get a standard mdf one for 30ish but looks abit on top. With the security of a nova that aint a good thing.
and if you want the best possible sounds, dont buy 6x9s and get a sub instead.

trace round your old shelf and make 1 from mdf. it aint hard. cut 6x9's holes out. you could even run the cloth over the top of them to stop them being visible.

I had 6x9s on my parcle shelf and they were fine. Just made the shelf squeek a bit (nothing a lil draft excluder wouldn't fix). For what its worth keep the standard one ore build one so you can hide them. Not worth buying one for 70 quid.
