yes it will,
sorry to highjack but what gearbox is on the 1l? 4speed? would i be able to put a 5speed cluster and selector on it?
'should' do... some of the later F15's might have different bearings as thye moved to the F16/20 style of single piece FD pinon+output shaft

i would say 4 speed but i know you can get a 5speed 1.0 not that i have seen one though. im pretty sure a 5 speed cluster would fit in but to be honest its just as easy to just change the box.

as long as you swap the final drive gear & make sure you put a 5 speed shifter box on instead of the original 4 speed one, then it will be way easier to swap the innards over. just follow the haynes info & you'll be fine. new gasket kits are all over ebay & use 80w-90 gear oil.
cheers for that information i really need a 5th for motorways lol
no, what you need to do is tell us what the final drive number is off the side of the gearbox..... yours might be very low.......
ill pop out tomorrow when its not raining and have a look
ok, the 1.0 might struggle to pull a decent top gear if the diff is too high...
my gte has a f13wr box with a 3.74 diff (basically a diesel box) and it doesn't like top unless you are doing about 70, my 4th gear is the same as the original top gear
