Digi Dash - Half has gone dim

Morning,

Took the Nova out for a spin at the weekend. Was nice to get out in it whilst it was dry :d

I noticed when I turned the ignition on that the righthand side of the dials were really dim (Rev counter side).

I've checked all the fuses and the plugs are in correctly...

Any quick tips or ideas?

It's your right side bulb.

Is it a case of taking the back of the clocks off? Or is is just the screw bulb?

Then take to Vaux and say "I want one of those..." and they reply, "we'll order one from Germany."

Yeah if you can find one that has one in stock !

Otherwise they want you to buy 10, which is around £46 + Vat iirc

Dont buy any otherones on ebay that say they will fit as they wont !!

They just twist in without taking the back off if, just ask for a digi dash bulb and they should know what you mean

i once hit the top off the dash and hey presto got another 6 months out the bulb lol and it was the right side too.

My dials are cable tied to the bulkhead, so didn't want to go cutting it all off until i knew what needed doing lol

I'll stip them down this weekend and have a poke about, see if I can get the bulb to start working. If not I'll take it into Vaux.

All your need to do is take the dash out and turn it around, your see to black bits which are the blubs. Dont touch the glass as there halogen.

just take it to a decent proper auto electrical place, like your local lucas place...... no car manufacturer uses unique bulbs, especially gm

As already said the cold doesnt do bulbs much good, 9 times out of 10 if you bang it, it will come on!
