oil pump

hey,

looking to buy a new oil pump for my x16xe as i am in the middle of completely rebiulding it with forged rods etc.

can anyone recomend a company that sells the pump and i will be putting uprated (SBD) internals in it anyway but want everything new and good quality.

hav'nt tried main dealer (vauxhall) yet as i would like to see if there is any other options.

some on ebay but i refuse to buy such and important engine component from ebay as thay are unbranded.

Stick to using OE stuff and you won't have any problems.

Cheap aftermarket pumps are a disaster waiting to happen

no they just sell the uprated internals gears and relief valv which i will be buying.

It makes me laugh when you see people build a few grands worth of engine and strap the cheapest oil pump to it !

TBH on the 20xe's I just find a good oe casing and use a SBD kit and a new gear from the main dealer. Check for scoring etc but you can buy a new plate and screws from Vauxhall for very little.

yea iv got the original pump but it lost pressure hence the reason im rebuilding the engine. but cant find anything wrong with the pump lol

releif valv isnt stuck,gears still intact etc.

not sure weather to use its casing and buy new uprated internals or just get a whole new pump and get the uprated parts.
