1.4sr top end on 1.2 block

havent been on here for a while, just got my nova back on the road

i want to put a 1.4sr top end on my block, should this cause any problems?

The inlet manifold port shape is different chap IIRC its more restrictive than the 1200 head, you could use the sr cam and exhaust manifold which would gain you a few horses. :)

well at the moment mate, i'm runnin 1.4 carb and inlet, with ashley 4-1 manifold and full piper system, but i'm after more power, its not slow now but want more horses so was thinkin full top end or just cam

urm yeah the cam would give you a bit chap, a 1300 inlet would suit the head more if its the 1200 carb head, you can do a few things to gain power but obviously it would be easier and cheaper to bung in a 1300 or 1400 engine.

you would get crap compression with a 1400 head on a 1200 block
