Right, do I put mikes gsi dash In my project gte?

Will it look right?

With the centerconsole, as it has gray door handles!

Got full gte trimming, but will go Astra gte champion leather one day!

If you're going for a mk2 dash why not go with eh grey dash as it does match, grey interior with black dash is pure gash

I hate the mk2 dash in grey!

It's either black, or mk1 gte:)

But mk1 gte is grey. So know not fit the later kinder looking and feeling grey dash to match the rest of the plastics...

A black dash will look **** mate with a full gte interior, it got to be factory all the way

Either do it all GSi inside, or plop in the grey dash. Grey trim with a black dash will look naff IMO.

Keep it MK1.

Keep the standard look, the GSI dash will look soooooo out of place. Get the gte dash grey flocked to be different.

IMO it will be a waste of time, as you will only regret it! put a grey mk2 one in!

mismatched interiors spoil the whole look of the car mate, stick with the standard dash

I think you'll find it supply and demand, you want something, some one has it. They arnt gonna give it away.

This is why most of of hoard parts. I could easily build another Nova.

Im in this boat tbf, nothings forsale, as I have no need to sell stuff, I mean 8 doors, wtf? lol

But it seems even egay has no gte stuff, but as with everything, I will pay £40 for the right loom, but if some tw4t wants £100 for example then im not paying it! lol

Why do you have 8doors? £100 is ott yes. I found a friend a mint loom, switches and motors for 20.

Nobody wanted the GTE dash I had ages ago, so I chucked it.

Look for someone breaking a car, or try Colin Smith; he's bound to have a GTE dash laying about. Still think a Mk2 grey dash would be better though.

GTE dash will just be the same as any standard grey Mk1 dash ?

Not the same, as they have the outer vents nearest the doors, and sopme have locking gloveboxes, and even rarer some have the fader built in to the dash

Jack
31-12-09, 10:22 PM
Its all interchangeable parts that can be put into the standard grey dash chassis though - the main chassis is the same.

I think there is a grey Mk1 dash at my local scrappy but doesn't have the side vents it has blanks...

Jack
31-12-09, 10:25 PM
Yeas, thats the thing, they're blanks - so vents would fit in.

vaughanmc

Pov dash's dont have the vents, SR's all have all the vents. Plus as they said they just pop out and you pop the vents in. (air tubes needed)

and you have to cut out the side of the main air duct to fit the air tubes, this can be a pain in the a**e lol

Jack

Thats just the heater matrix gubbins though, not part of the dash, and can be swapped out for one with the side parts open, or as you say cut.

MattBrown
01-01-10, 01:10 PM
I know, but I cant find the bits to do it anywere!

Benn

Just buy an sr dash, asking for the air tubes. There's 3 breaking on here..
