hi all im currintly thinking about putting my nova back on the road and using it as a daily but i would be paranoid (sp) about theving scum nicking it so just woundering what sercurity you lot have got( alarm, immobiliser, steering wheel lock etc)taa

get an alarm with a proximity (sp?) sensor, so it makes a noise if you go too near to the car,most car theives will leave well alone.

i've found out the hard way that a normal alarm will stop them nicking the car, but it doesn't stop them bending the door back...then the alarm goes off..then they leg it, leaving you with the task of finding a new rust free door (not easy or cheap) and getting it sprayed and fitted (not cheap again!)

now thats somthing to think about but does it not go off if it like rains or snows? and also how will the alarm work is i had a isolater switch fitted?

dont fit a cheap alarm they are too easy to bypass. Toad all the way Ai606.

I have Diskloks on all three of my cars, well worth the money but a bit bulky for storing and stuff.

Nova has a Clifford, Corsa has a Toad. Clifford has a lot more features but also costs a lot more.

i have a clifford concept 300 and i take the ecu out used to have a discloc need to get a new one it prevented the thieves getting the car when they tryed to nick it but then took half a day to cut off cos they had mullered the lock

Nope and nope, you wont be finding out untill after the end of january when ive had my knee operation and am allowed to drive again lol
