1.5 derv head gasket

as im hopefully buying a 1.5 d van in the new year and was just wondering how easy they are to do ive done many a petrol engine before

do you have to have the head skimmed? new bolts?
how do you lock the diesel pump?

hi mate, best to get head skimmed, and pressure tested, it advises to use new bolts but its up to you as they are the stretch type, and its pretty easy job to do. lock the fuel pump with a m6 set screw (bolt) and lock cam with an m8 set screw. cheers
