Downpipes ?

Ok, i need a downpipe to fit my new exhaust onto my 1.2, i will have to fit a GTE manifold and it has the 2 holes, but i have no downpipe, im wondering if a mk3 astra downpipe would fit ? or is there any other that would fit ?

Just buy a nova one? Id say the astra one is at a different angle.

i have had a gte downpipe & middle section with a 1.2 mk1 backbox, but i'm pretty certain the gte manifold is not going to fit a 1.2 middle section,

Astra one does look different, im going to ty and order one today from the parts shop, hopefully there only 10 quid like on ebay, ideally i want a 4 branch, but dont want to pull big money out atm.

I think if i put the exhaust on the car, put the GTE exhaust manifold on the engine, then all i need is the downpipe to attach the manifold to the exhaust, right ?

is there a difference in nova downpipes or are they all the same ?

also could i fit a 4 branch manifold straight on ?

if it is a std replacement, then each bit is interchangeable with the original. if it is a performance item, some are interchangeable, some are not.

I think ill be better off ordering a 4 branch to fit a GTE exhaust, and if it isnt a perfect fit ill get someone to cut it and weld it up.

gte an gsi downpipes are angled were they meet the middle section of the exhaust

Well i took some random vauxhall downpipes from the scrapyard oday, to see if they fit, one was nearly a fit but it went a bit to the side so it didnt line up, so if that was a gte style one then im fooked. might of been off an astra though.

what other style is there ?
