Mk2 clocks have 3 locating holes round the sides and have 2 extra slots for pins on the multi-plug so not sure they'd work or fit into a Mk1 dash/loom...

Could be wrong

Ideally, no. You can cut the three lugs off but the dials may not sit properly as the Mk1 dials are designed to just plop down into the dash. You can do it the other way round though (Mk1 dials into Mk2 dash).

Plus as well the Mk2 dials need a 14 pin plug, where as the Mk1 only has a 12 pin plug, so you'd need to swap that over too.

If you want a 6-pod dialset, go for Mk1 SR or GTE dials. If its the Mk2 SRi half white faces you want, you could try putting the speedo & rev counter from an SRi dialset into a Mk1 SR/GTE dialset... then you won't need to worry about fitment or the plug

mk2 clocks are too big for the mk1 dash really.

As per everyone else, same as the astra digi dash, you need to put it in from behind (Officer lol)
