Not mine, but a good mate of mine has this Mk2 Cavalier CDi which isn't any ordinary CDi

Started out as a 1.6/1.8 Auto (can't right remember) But it's now got a 3k mile 2.0 16v Turbo under the bonnet, some nice -40mm Spax suspension and 18" OZ alloy wheels:

I totally love that last shot of the SEH, which I took lol. It's deffo clean for its year. I have plans to restore it once I have the Nova complete. I'm already excited about it. Engine has done 190k+ IIRC so is due a rebuild to bring back those 8v horses.

It still goes well but it is missing a few ponies. Really do want to get it looking mint and do some very subtle upgrades like drop it a bit, something like 25mm on topş notch springs, new bushes, get a proper s/s exhaust system on there, none of this cheap pattern shizzle you get from your local exhaust fitters.

both. it was missing the entire insides but still ran no bumpers,side mouldings and sills and rear arches were cut back ready for new panels which never happened. Then i got a call to say the block was cracked across 3 cylinders but he wanted to keep it lol

No...'Redtop' USUALLY is used in ref to the C20XE type engines from the Cav, Cally, astra's with the red L shaped plug cover (it refers to some others, but that's the main ref)

Barney (the blue cav above)is a converted redtop too...

then 3 months after i got rid and the engine was put in another cav, it had a catastrophic bottom end failure

My old Cav, sold a few years back to my eternal regret. Quick and comfy, everthing I wanted my family a car to be before I sold it and bought a 1.8 Vectra C :cry:

What makes it even worse was the tool I sold it to. Lad turned up with a car full of mates, went out on a test drive just me and him, BIG BIG mistake letting him drive (didn't even check his insurance (I know, I know)). Wrong way up a one way street and then 90mph in a 30 on the main road through the village. If he'd given me the money then I'd have walked home, never been so scared in a car.

Few weeks later I got a nice letter to say I'd been caught running a red light in Liverpool (where the lad was from). Few days later a speeding ticket. It was never retaxed according to the DVLA, that might be because he was a dodgy tit, put probaby because he drove it very fast into something very hard. I hope it hurt.

Here's my mates Cavalier's. One is a GSi and the other is a 1.7 TD. GSi is now nearly stripped as it had seen better days. Some bits are on the diesel and the engine is going in his Nova.

Not mine, but a good mate of mine has this Mk2 Cavalier CDi which isn't any ordinary CDi

Started out as a 1.6/1.8 Auto (can't right remember) But it's now got a 3k mile 2.0 16v Turbo under the bonnet, some nice -40mm Spax suspension and 18" OZ alloy wheels:
