Right ive been on here a while now and havent got any piks of my latest nova and havent even done a project thread (lazy i know) any ways iv recently lost my job :( and am reluctant to sell her so instead i took her off the road and spent a few pennies giving her a good tidy up wheel refurb undersealing etc etc, oh and not to mention the removal of the carbed 1600 for some replacement man power!!!

just been ouside fitting my newly done wheels and skirts and thought why not take some piks for you guys :thumb:

--ToM--
22-12-09, 03:29 PM
im not far from wrexham mate so probably was me? speedlines used to be white? and i did the wheels myself.

as for the raised bonnet it will be going its only like that as the old engine had carbs on so it was surving a purpose lol.

i duno about the stickers i think there kinda coolio but im going to remove the SR1 off the back and put just SR as its no longer on R1 carbs.

Put the bonnet on it's hinges properly, lose some of the stickers & I would nearly like that.

I was going to ask if you were from around Wrexham, the day I went to collect my private plate off my old Nova (which I sold to a guy in Wrexham) I saw this on on of the dual carriageways near there, looks good

Its WAY too low at the rear, but a very nice motor all the same :)

Might not be as low as it looks, the back arch seems to be sitting on a downward slant...

--ToM--
22-12-09, 06:39 PM
the arches have been modded on the rear they have no lips what so ever and have been cut to a slight slant also it does sit level as i have measure from the floor to skirt, where its parked doesnt help as my driveway changes gradient

so you now have no strength in the rear aches. and probably a perfect water trap! good times

nice looking car. loose the SR stickers and raise it a bit. other then that its alright :)

Don't know if it the angle of the pictures but drivers rear arch looks a funny shape as if it comes down too low at the front? Passenger one looks normal though.

Other than that can't beat the Gsi kit and Speedlines.

That's what I thought

Exactly what I was thinking mate, it seemed to curve too low. The otherside is ok.

Tommy_nova
22-12-09, 07:38 PM
why not re-sticker it as a GSI as it looks more like one then a SR ? just an idea :)

Am i missing something, i cant see anything nova wise, guin agrees with this

--ToM--
22-12-09, 11:42 PM
both drivers and passanger side arch look the same in the flesh ? the lips on the rears have been cut away as said i suppose it does weaken them but meh....

SR stickers are staying as its an SR jusr removing the bootlid one as its no longer on carbs.

SR badges have gotta go chap....along with the pointless raised bonnet. And definetly do something with the dog turd fuel cap lol

--ToM--
22-12-09, 11:57 PM
they havet "got to go" anywhere.

as already stated the bonnet wasnt always "pointless" i just havent had a chance to change it back yet.

and the "dog turd" fuel cap fills the gap better than a standard item IMHO.

Lovely Nova, I like how it sits down a bit at the ar$e.

Theres one or two wee small things I'd change but I think your getting enough criticism as it is :wtf:

--ToM--
23-12-09, 01:41 PM
yeah theres a few things im going to change also as time goes on. i dont mind a bit of constructive criticism just not a fan of things being referred to as poinless and dog turd and being told iv "got too" change them lol at the end of the day its my car :)

Surely that rear arch is slanted? doesnt look right at all.

I agree though, it is your car and nobody can say that you have 'got to' change things lol
