scrapage scheme
surly this leaves a small number about
what do people estimate....
i say under 1 million easy

How many country's got the Corsa A? I know a guy in Russia has one, obviously they went all over Europe, where else?
Does this include the field full of A's?
Were exactly 3 million made? (I do remember seeing a pic of a Nova with "3 millionth" banner (or something) above it)

Nope I'm not that old - Only really took notice of the Sport's and paid close attention to them
I know some general stuff about other models - Was never that interested about how many was made

o right, sweet and yeh they must be getting thin on the ground like untouched ones
and 3mil divided by 18 = about 160k.
so do you think we could of lost 160k of novas over a year. i think thats alot

I would guess at more like half a million left worldwide, including ones left to rot and in scrap yards.

ahh we covered the prices of Nova's compared to mk1's and mk2's already in another topic,
i say around... 400k left world wide
but bearing in mind that how many old people own them and whether there sat in garages etc, there may be a hell of alot more... No-one will ever know ;)
250k ish, but i bet the percentage still on British roads (of those bought here) is lower than the percentage of those on european/SA roads...

Less and less day by day...
Maybe we should make a register like them sport lovers have, granted there is more normal Nova's than sports but at least it would give us an idea of how many are used on the British roads.

go to this link, haynes say there were only 600,000 made any on that basis i rekon about 50,000 left tops.

hmm, in the UK id say around 50k but world wide id say a hell of alot more, there was a women i spoke to who was from holland and she had a opel corsa ( another words a Nova ) and i spoke to her for a while about it and she said they were still very commen cars over there, she reckons you can atleast see 4-5 a day, which is good for saying how old the car is, so id say a fair few are left world wide

They only made 50,176 Td :/

Those are alive. If people sell or wreck their cars, they let me know and I'll remove them from the registry
ahh oks. only reason i ask is that the series one register has the dead ones aswell

I say theres not many left in the UK, theres 92 counties, so imagine how many you see in your county, even with 100 per county that would only make 9200 total

There maybe, but it would be quite hard to get the figures up based on the above theory, unless everyone just hides them, and most nova owners are enthusiasts so will have knowledge about shows etc or old people that have kept them for years,
no one buys them as a runaround anymore, because you can get cheaper better runarounds due to the increasing nova rarerity

Some people that own novas arent a member of PNG, some people on here dont own a nova, some own 2, 3 or even more, be interesting to see how many EXACTLY are left.

3 million 100 thousand novas world wide, 600 thousand in the UK i think !
IIRC - 10,000 GSi/GTE models were made.
I have a friend that lives in croatia, he says that opel corsa A is very very popular there, he sees loads of them everyday, even showed me a few pics once lol

My estimate would be about 1-2 million novas world wide.
id say about 200,000 or less left in UK.
Look at how many are constantly on Ebay and the ad trader etc..

There were 3.105.430 made, not less, not more.
And if there are only about 55.000 left in Germany, there are not more left in UK, IMO
Btw, the Corsa A / Nova was also sold in Belgium, Luxembourg, Schweden, Greece, Portugal, Norway, Danemark and Poland.
For the GSi/GTE, there were already 11.803 made in 1988. I would have to search for the total GSi/GTE numbers, but surely more than 50.000
