right when i go to start it up it fires up straight away and cuts out imediately after it does that it then takes longer to fire up (5-6 secs) then cuts out again. it will do this maybe 7 - 8 times before im able to keep it running by holding the revs on the accelerator but even then when revving its really lumpy and bangs as if its overfueling loads after 2 mins or so its spot on, just the initial start up its having problems with? overfueling i think?? :tard:

any help is appreciated

Idle control valve maybe?

I cleaned mine out recently (and fooked it up) and at one point after refitting it, it behaved exactly like you describe. New cheap ebay ICV fixed it.

If your spare doesn't fix it, this is what I bought:

I would go for this too....

If it runs fine when warm - it has to be temp related....
