Well, what a great/crap day!
Great having it large, ice and snow, massive slides etc, good laugh, me in the nova, Cooltiger in his corsa!
Then I overcooked it into a kerb, the wheel is now 1" further back than it should be!
Not being quitters we went elsewere, were nice and happy, nobody around etc!
The police turn up to pull both of us, Adam just drives off and ignores them, then they do me, section 59, (my 3rd one) and £60 for a headlight!
I didn't believe them about the headlight, so got out, and it was off, so I tapped it, and it came straight back on!
£60 down, and I'm on my final warning, if I bell around anymore, then there crushing the car! lol
Just curious, as my mum got carjacked, window smashed, threatened with a hammer, and dragged out of the car, the 2 lads got nothing for it, as it's only classed as "agrivated" burglary!
Just fooked off tbh!

last year i got stopped and asked 3 times in 10 mins if i put the front tyres on the back. i said no but is there any offence hidden in there .
Why did you accept a fine for a broken headlight, you shouldve gotten a VDR, Vehicle Defect Rectification Notice, seven days to get it checked at a mot garage and stamped up to show at the fed station, if youve been fined then its cos theyve had your pants down or you got points and are not telling us!

Dont worry about it then, never ever sign anything at the roadside, they will pressure you to do it but they cannot make you do it as you need legal representation to sign anything legal!

When I got my moped one Oct 08- Oct 09, it was definately on the system, as whenever I was pulled, the police mentioned to me about the section 59, I had then to say it was for an offencively loud exhaust, trying to weelie, and sliding the ass end about lol

To be fair this is annoying. Just witnessed a mouth breather in an Escort estate absolutely bombing it with a headlight out... and some 'kids on board, keep back' motif things in the rear window :roll: all the while hassling other road users by not 'keeping back' :wtf:

I got stopped for it a good few years ago, empty carpark about one in the morning, copper came over in a transit and i didnt spot him at first, getting carried away in my powa slides and suchlikes, he asked what i was doing when id finally spotted him and stopped, i replied id never driven in snow before and was making my car loose control so i could practise correcting it and teach myself what to do.
He laughed and said well ive been sat over there for ten mins watching you and youre getting pretty good/cocky at it so its clear youve done it before and are just playing so what ya really doing?
I was like oh, busted then yes im playing but he said my bullsh*t excuse actually made sense and although he couldnt condone me doing it he was going to head off and come back in about half hour and that i should make sure i wasnt there when he returned:thumb:

afaik they can only impound. my mate has has about 10. but he knows the impound yard they use and they just say his car is too low to get on the loader so they cant get it

Actually yes, you're right, I got an asbo type thing for 12 hours and the section 59 is on the car for 12 months.
What pisses me off the most is typically the cops took hours to respond to who ever made the call of noisy cars which was before I turned up and some idiots while I was arriving, cops turned up an hour or so later and gave everyone a section 59 (by which time the idiots had gone), we were all sat in our cars engines off and no music on.

To be fair the cops have a hard job, my mam was in the met for 5 years or so (She's now a D.O up here) and some of the stories she tells me make me wonder how some of them can do the job.

i thought sec59 was on you and the vehicle for 12 months. to stop you gettin a new car the next day. mr2 i bought had a sec 59 on it

section59s are a load of crap imo. i 'apparantly' was issued the very first one around my area back in 2004/2005. the cops pulled me and said theyre giving me this warning, i thought nothing of it. a few days later i got another one and next thing i knew a recovery truck came lol i went to the compound the next morning and they didnt have a clue what a 59 was and just gave me the car back without any permission from the cops. A few weeks later i got another one and impounded again Lol.
It wasnt until over a year later when people online were going on about it like they are something new and now cops seem to be giving everyone them everytime you get pulled. 95% of the time though they are just verbal and means nothing.
Luckily for me i dont dick about anymore so its been a while since iv had one...
it does make me wonder what the hell you lot are doing to get so many. me and none of my friends have never had one

even when I was a yooth I never got any, infact I've only been pulled over twice in 11 years of driving... once in the annual drink driving testing and once to be told that a brake light was out (nothing bad came of that as it was a curtosey thing)

I've been pulled over a few times but never for my driving. I've been breathalysed twice, pulled over once because flux hadn't put my car on the MID and another time so the copper could check that I was the owner of the car because a lot of novas and mk2/3 astras had been nicked locally that fortnight.
I've done my share of public autotesting aswell, so you young'uns need to pick your location and timing better lol.

Dicking about in the snow is fun but there's a time and place. Obviously if you're not experienced enough to control the car in a slide, then don't "practice" (commonly, "dick about") where there's kerbs to hit or the police are likely to show up.

I'm the same as stu, in 11 years of driving, I've only been pulled a couple of times (plus two interactions with the fuzz whilst I was parked up). They never bother me in the Celica lol

Exact same - 45MPG turns into 20/25 MPG when it snows lol
I swear that curb appeared from no where :cry: on a nice dry day my car is lucky to do 20 mpg, I'm really feeling it now its slippy :cry:
