Also cheeky i know but as i am at uni do you know if places do discount lol

If its standard, the world is your oyster. Try everyone. Assuming you have a decent post code, TPF&T, <10k a year, 0points etc, I would expect to pay certainly no more than £700 for that if its a 1.2.

Don't forget adding your parents as second drivers can help too. Have a look on a few insurance sites so you can tweak the quotes and get an idea on who's cheapest, then pick up the phone and barter a deal.
