View Full Version : nova shells
are diesil nova shells stronger than petrol ones ???
the reason i ask is because i was told they where as im doin rallying and need the strongist shell i can get
Diesel shells have extra bits in the chassis IIRC like nova GTE/GSI's. They also have strut top plates as others, maybe be a myth but thicker inner wings?
They do also have thicker tiebars.
well i think im gonna go for this car i seen forsale diesil shell converted to pertol stich welded... should hold up to alot off abuse

GTE, GSI, SRi and Diesel shells have thicker steel to eng bay and strut top reinforcement.
Downside is they are about 30kg heavier!

And IIRC diesels engines are mounted differently in a Nova bay. So if going for petrol power some fab work will be required.

Yes diesel shells have strengthened chassis legs, and come with anti roll bars i think.
