Im back!!

Some of you may have noticed that ive not been on here much for a while (others of you won't care) but just re-paid as a club member and the nova will be back on the road on the 1st jan. Spoke to the garage that did my MOT and as they've already seen the car they are happy to write me an engineers report so I can change the logbook.
For those of you that want to 'get away with paying cheaper tax' when you've got a bigger engine, I would advise against it, the mot guy was telling me about a guy that put a larger zetec engine in his fiesta and didnt notify his insurers or the dvla lost his liscense and ended up with a fine.
Got a bit of a knock under heavy braking to sort out which a couple of people have suggested it might be worn engine mounts so they'll be getting changed, but I can't wait to get the old girl back on the road!!

Check your callipers are done up tight. If one bolt isn't done up tight the calliper can move slightly when you brake. Just something else to check :)

Can also be loose balljoints as well where the hub carrier meets the TCA. Id do a complete spanner check of the whole front end TBH. Dodgy engine mounts would normally clunk under acceleration more than braking :)

Also check the driveshaft castle nuts are done up tight as they knock like that when loose. Mistake I made which rendered me useless for any strip action at USC 06 :(

Got this knocking noise to find, and the drivers side inner wing needs sorting as its sitting to low and is throwing the panel gaps out, was just a bit of a rush job when we welded it tbh. But performance wise polybushes and a lightened flywheel will do for now.

Its on 13" nova steelies now, an awesome upgrade from the 12s with perished tyres that it originally had! lol Was actually gonna lower it as the std suspension has had it but as the nova actually passed its mot im piling more money into that lol
