Cut out all rot, replace with sheet metal (treat any rotted are inside while you can access it)

Ive not no mate, but my mate has, look through his wip thread for some idea of what to do, and what to expect mate, as for thickness i would say 1, to 1.5 mm is enough.

Deffo cut it out, different people do it different way though.

If your doing it yourself cut it all out and treat any rust that is just surface, weld new bit on and coat with undersealer inside and out.
