Its good as you can cherry pick who you talk to as well. And the girls will (usually) be sober, unlike the raving drunks you get in the town pubs/clubs. Plus, it allows you to fling your net outside of your local town - which in our cases, Yeovil and Bridgwater, is a massive advantage lol
As for long term, pish. My ex stayed on the scene for 2.5 years. Would have pushed her off sooner but the damned Nova was on her dad's farm so I couldn't lol

LOL. It aint just me then, but seriously I can't get past the browsing stage.
I really cannot be bothered with the whole pretence of chatting nonsense with someone that is probably a fecking loony. Half the time the pics are typical ASW stood infront a mirror with the cam-phone out stretched in 1 hand. I find that such a turn off it aint funny. All the usual likes & dislikes (drinking wiv ma gals etc) & I darent say I like cars, most girls run a mile.
Oh & I shouldnt be looking for girls, it's women now, as I'm 31 & over the hill.
I stay well clear of girls that put drinking as a hobby, most of them are alcies anyway if they list it as a hobby jesus!

I only really used POF as it was free - I refuse to pay for online dating stuff as there's too many horror stories about staff setting up fake accounts and emailling people on places like date.com and match.com
For example, I had a profile on singles365 which basically said "only contact me if you live in <abc> or <xyz>" and I STILL got people from all over the shop trying to message me. Duh.
[edit] Also used the Are You Interested app on facebook (met the odd weirdo on there mind) and also had a few offers from various other apps on there, one or two that may have torn me away from my ex lol

Craig, you can keep looking on pof, but imo thats just as **** as the rest of them, it's only good for sex in my experience, i had a good year or so after being royal ****ed over by my ex where i was feeling very down about things and tried so hard to find a new girl, then i just opted for the sex with randoms (AGAIN) although i didn't want this, as i like you are not getting much younger etc so wanted to find some one to settle with.
