Catches are the same? Check straps are different though.

I thought the handles were the same size, but the bolts in different positions.

i sold a set to a mate and when trying to fit them they would sit flush with the door ? i pulled off a mk1 but his was a mk2 and they wouldn't go on for love or money. and sport only have one not that there different

This may be a stupid question but it needs to be asked, you are aware that there is some little sticky out bits on the part that mates up to the door and they fit into some holes, only goes in one way.

Same, the Sports have different mirrors.
Early (<C) reg novas have the "old" style mirrors, usually only one of them.

I have mk2 doors on my mk1, the differences are the door handles outer/inner and surrounds for the locks are grey rather than black.
The door check is different on pre 85 cars but can easily be adaprted other wise if you fit them well (removing them is the hardest part) there is no difference at all.
