They are data matrix bar codes. Tis cool as my N95 8GB has a data matrix code reader.

Its a barcode, same as the III II II II IIIII III II jobbers.

lol I just wrote a barcode using the "I" character. Christ.

Nope. Its there by default to the phone.
The barcode is to help you not need to remember it as you can email it to folks etc.
