Xe Knocking

Amate of mines XE in his corsa knocks from cold not from the bottom end though it sounds like its from the head? doesnt tap at all though :wtf: :confused:

ill get a video up today then, it doesnt tap but it knocks its weird lol

If it's more of a tap then it's likely to be the hydraulic lifters, which is common for them to do that.

You'd think the XE's were bad at tapet noise, ever heard a passat? My uncles 2006 1.6 passat taps like freaking mad when on cold start up, makes the XE sound like a symphany orchestra.
