Good shock / Bad shock???

Whats the best shocker for a 16v Nova?
I have used G-max in the past because they are cheap but with the extra weight of a two litre engine they don't last long.
My front ones are gassed after only 2 months(5k)
Are coilovers worth the extra cash?
Are spax or koni all they make out?
I'm not keen on paying ?700 for shocks.

its kinda true. buy something like koni, avo or monroe shocks. they're some of the decent ones AFAIK.
