if u look on the gearbox the sender should already be there for the ECU with the speedo wire screwed into the top of it

what u need to do is splice into the SIGNAL wire (blue with red stripe iirc) and run this to the dash

do NOT break the original connection to the ECU however as this will cause the management light to come on and the ECU will start binting at you

So is it only the blue wire that has to go to the digi dash?

think thats the color

should be brown, prolly black and the signal wire

it tells u in the digidash guides what color it is

just dont follow the guide about fitting the sender, just splice into the existing wire and feed it to the dash nowt else

what i did was connect the sender, the 12v feeds and ground to the dash

then took it out for a drive (still with the original clocks inplace and the digiclock on the passenger seat) it worked so i followed the rest of the guide normally :)

Most the injecton engines look the same, except they have different size chambers etc.

no but that looks exactly the same so is it a 1.6 then?

a multi point injection 1.4 would look the exact same.
But if ya still don't believe us check the stamp on the head(front, right, bottom)

the later GSI's (C16SE rather than the more common E16SE) used the same multec injection as the SRi - IE no AFM on the inlet just a pipe streight to the filter

as i pointed out in the other thread the 8v digidash and the multec ECU both use the same distance frequency transmitter (gearbox sender)

so it will work fine
