I have bought a Y Reg Corsa and have had alot of problems with the light.
When i am turning the steering wheel all the lights including the headlight seen to dim and lose power and then brightin back up again ,
i have taken it back to vauxhall but they say its not a fault so i am not realy sure what to do about it.
They say that they have tested everythink on it.

Any ideas
Thanks

When having night lessons in a Mk2 Corsa I thought the lights were a bit crap - that was a Y reg too.

For me they were crap all the time, not just when turning.

Really Bad lights on the corsa, well mine is any way, trying to see if anyone else is having the same problem.

You'll find that not many of us don't drive a Mk2 Corsa on a regular basis, but wait a few hours you may get some feedback.

Yeah im guessing that will only be because the engine is putting the power normally used for the lights into the power steering pump. I'm not sure how to cure the problem tho to be honest.
I have to run round with my choke on a little when i've got my lights on cos if i dont then my car cuts out when im idling at traffic lights or what not.

My N/S light on the LR never works without a hard thump on the wing........

I've tried to drive using sidelights (as done by the army) but thats seriously hard.

Anton ,
even if you turn the steering wheel left and right and on full lock?

Is there not even a bit of a power lose?

Power sterring in the new corsa's are all electric motors where the old ones where pumps

I dont think it is pump drivin, it is electric

It must be a fault then somewhere if your Corsa dont do the same as mine
