Corsa Cabriolet by Emelba
In April 1984, the Spanish company Emelba presented a Cabriolet conversion of the Corsa.

Emelba did already conversions since the end of the 70s (Fiat Panda and Talbot Samba to convertible , Fiat 127 and Seat Ronda to a van, Seat Ronda and Seat Ibiza to a 7-seater) Furthermore they had a self-developed Van in the product range.

The Corsa Cabriolet had a folding roof, that was fastened to the side panels with pushbuttons

Furthermore Emelba developed a cover, to be installed instead of the folded roof and on 2 variants of a Hardtop (4 or 2-seater)

Same here.:) Maybe it's the colour giving it a better look or possibly the wheels (anyone know what they are?).

And according to the guy i was talking to a couple of years ago at Donny cruise, (he co built it apparently, knew a hell of a lot about it so id guess he was telling the truth) its also got power steering, abs, launch control and possibly cruise control too not sure on that last one but i think he said that!

Was that Ste? Its Rob Smiths mate. The Spider Sprint-C is awesome, I went over to see Ste a few years back to buy a 16 pt cage from him. Rob was there and he took us out in it. Its an awesome bit of kit and fast as fook, the Quaiffe diff pulls it round corners like its on rails!
Funniest thing is the Calibra he lifted the LET out of now had a 1.7td lump in it lol

Spyder looks good, but I don't like the other ragtop hatchbacks. Don't look right to me.

Hutch saloon though, now that I would like. Would be ace to reshell the V6 into one, I can imagine it would need a considerable amount of strengthening though.

the hutchinsons have extra strengh on the inside. they have a roof beam, down the sides were the belts go, then along the floor on the inside of the sills.
