Hi guys,

Can someone please help me.

I downloaded a avi file which plays in widescreen.

I have what is called, any video converter

I have converted it to (movie clip mpg file) which plays.

the only problem is its playing in 4.3 & has squished the screen.

Is this the right file convertion? I wanted to copy to dvd.

Have i done this right? or will it play better in another formate?

any help would be great :)

I use this (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) to convert media files. It takes a while to get through the waffle to actually get to the download bit. Sometimes it bails out but it mostly works.

There is an option to maintain aspect ratio, maintain frame rate etc. when converting.

-- Remote download link doesn't work from here. Have to get onto there and download from there if you want it.

sound like u dont want a video converter - youre wanting to burn the vid to a 'proper' dvd yeah? if so you want nero/cyberlink powerdvd/roxio toast/anything that can convert to dvd format and burn the disc too.

As per Fester's recommendation. Super is ace, I use it for all my conversion needs.

lol i may be chatting b*llocks, but i think your all wrong!

Your video is widescreen, change the setting of it what your watching it on, the only other option is to get video editing software, like pinnacle, or corel videostudio (which you can get a 30 day trial of) which you can change the screen size of
