X14xe tuning?? X16xe part's

Seen as I was strugglin to get a 16xe I have settled for a 27k miles x14xe engine. What part's can I use off the x16xe to improve performance?
Got powerbox and 4-2-1 manifold. Got a set of fast road cam's for 1.6 too if they will help get sum power out.

I think thats about all you can use off the 1600, when i looked into tuning a x14xe kent would re-profile a pair of cams to fast road for £150 + vat if you supplied the cams. The heads are the same IIRC apart from the C16xe

Nowt much you can take off a X16XE for a 1400 so.

Just do the norm turning as you would on a X16.

Havin trouble's now as Engine is idlin at 3k. Dont think this nova likes me lol

Got a big air leak? that would make it idle high ?

Agreed they suck. But I just spent 100quid on the lil t**t so its gunna run Hahaha

it does run just at 3k. check your idle screw, flash the codes and see what you get. egr valve all ok?

Dont need touch idle screw, idle motor controls idle speed... If you need to mess about trying manually adjust the idle then youve got an air leak somewhere.

Sorted it :) was air leak. Not running egr valve blanked it off so its got management light on all time. It is also running on x16xe ecu, injectors and throttle body, which I am suprised about lol goes ok :)
