Recently my early GSi (Bosch EFI, Siemens ECU) has started to have the engine management light come on at high revs, some times as low as 2.5k, I've tried reseting the ECU but it has made no difference.
Does any one have any ideas on how to fix this problem that doesn't involve Vauxhall dealership and ?40 just to get the fault code?
I had the same problem but it only started happening when i fitted a new back box (ashley). I just took the car out and gave it a good hammering on the the back roads and problem solved. good luck
