gear linkage

been out in the nova today and all was going well until i stopped of at my local motor factors only to return to my car wich was fine when i parked up to find i had no gears? i found that the linkage had popped out how can i stop this happening again?

New linkage, or make/buy a rosejointed one

depends what you mean, has the gear lever popped out of the gearbox linkage?

or has your linkage fallen apart like so many nova ones do?

if its the bit with the white bushe's that is held in by a little sprung clip refit the clip and put a cable tie round to hold the pins of the clip in.worked fine on mine.

its a ball that pushes into a socket?

Best off with a rose jointed one, they'll never fail..
Or buy a new linkage/socket if there still available?
