All look good. But need to see them in the flesh and check the usual areas. I would choose the 1st one. Its a mk2 lol. Standard SR and could be a good base to start from.

Good luck.

Id say the first two are definate contenders, have a good look over the first one if you go view it as it reminds me of one Keith Robinson came all the way over from Ireland to view only to find it had been in a heavy front and rear shunt and wasnt overly well repaired, not saying tis that one but it was similar so have a good looksee, but saying that i likes it:thumb:

.Maybe
.Schwing
.Perhaps not.

.1st one looks nice if overpriced + neg points for using the 'mint' word.
.2nd one had me running for the Kleenex.
.3rd actualy looks alright, but the owner can't spell, the picture is poor & the wheels are Black.

All three are a waste of time, if the sellers can't be bothered to write a decent advert they probably can't be bothered to look after their cars either. Take the rust free comments with a pinch of salt. No mention of documentation to back up the mileage claims either.

28k on a 1990 car, thats 1,400 miles a year. If the engine isn't seized, it will probably fall over and die at the first hint of doing any kind of mileage. Blowed if I'd pay £1900 for that; I'll assume he's just added one too many 0's on the end. At least the '88 SR has a realistic mileage.

I'd only consider the third, mainly as its the cheapest, but even then I'd only offer at most £450. Tell him he can take the wheels and rear springs off if he wants to drop the price.

TBH...

Those of us who have been here for ages, will be expecting to see low mileage shells for £500...I mean I have bought two over my years...

However.....you have to remember when supply doesnt meet demand, in anything, prices rise, you can't expect for ever that a Nova in decent condition will be cheap.

Christ - I remember then mk1/2 escorts could be had in reasonable nick for a few hundred quid, try getting a rotter for less than £1000 you'll be struggling now.

If all of those were £750, they'd be around for minutes, hours, tops - and simply that the lad has asked which one is best shows that there are people out there willing to pay the money, just because some of us won't, doesn't mean that others won't!

I think if the white SR was as tidy as it looked, its worth that price all day long/ditto grey SR....the white SRi has had bodywork - which means less value IMO, as it has lost its originality.

PH tax lol

tbh next year I'd be looking to reshell the Nova. If I can't source a decent shell for a decent price (read: sub £500 for a complete car) then I'll probably ditch it and look into 106s or move into small Jap hatchbacks.

Sure, Novas are fun cars, but the main selling point for me is they are (or were) cheap. £1900 isn't cheap. lol
