soooooo the red fiesta is a mk1 originally a 1.1, now a 1.6 cvh turbo. epic trouble getting the fooking engine in but getting there now

the white one was originally a 1.3 ghia, then a 1.6 cvh turbo, now a 2L zvh turbo. big plans for it though

baxters old shell will be lobbed back outside very soon and in its place wil be the estate for its rebuild.

my baby (light blue) will also be getting a nice big rebuild

First off dude seen this in the "your garage thread" and yep it's a proper unit/garage.

Burgo, these are some things i would personally do, first off to stop prying eye's either cover the windows over with 10mm ply etc and paint black to face out, white to face in etc, this might also help keep noise down
(if you put some insulation boards (http://www.bmdinsulation.com/celotex-kingspan-insulation.html.htm)on the back it would keep noise down more and keep warmth in, so cheaper bills?)

Just some things i would do mate, plans sound good though for all the car's, are you scrapping Baxter's old shell or re-using it some how?

Scott

12-12-09, 02:49 PM
Excellent hideout you got there Burgo. Both Ellen and myself would be more than prepared to move house to get a unit like that! Thumbs up and all that, happy spannering! :)

burgo
12-12-09, 05:48 PM
shell isnt being scrapped but you may still be able to have the rear

Graeme
12-12-09, 05:52 PM
Result, I just want the boot section, so cutting somewhere like the c pillars and where the back seat base would be, if you could let me know that would be great, sorry to spam your thread

That is one hell of a garage, I was slightly disappointed you found it on rightmove though... thought it was something you put together after your experience with the shed lol Looks awesome though, guessing we can expect some epic things to be rolling out of there since you made the estate in a cramped garage/on the road! :d

pepperpots will look the business too :thumb:
u might wanna look into the offset and wheel angles beforehand, as the FWD and RWD versions of those wheels are quite different i was told.

Aye they are. ET and width is totally different on the Capri pots compared to mk1/2 Fez.
I have a feeling he'll be running arch extentions though.

15-12-09, 10:09 PM
unfortunetly my camera was being gay so no pics :(. updates there is though

baxters old shell has has bottom arms put back on and been lobbed outside. worth it lol

white fiesta, bonnet off, all ancileries taken off, rad out, wiper mech and bonnet catch out, drivers door stripped down, all the boot area stripped down.

my blue saloon. wiper mech removed, servo removed, loom removed, windscreen removed, headlights removed.

i also treated the estate to some love. replaced a front side light bulb, wiggled rear light plug so rear light worked lol. the airbox off, clean the carb, checked the jets. dizzy cap off, clean all the connects up the plugs out, cleaned and gapped. then wd40'd all the leads. topped up oil and washer fluid then washed front and rear lights and front and rear number plates lol. bless it

burgo
15-12-09, 10:15 PM
