If i was 2 rub down all the paint off an item, and just laquer it, would would the outcome looke like? would it be prone 2 rust as its a coating?

Would look nice....Just make sure the laquer is very thick- any chips and it will rust

In max poo a few months back they had a golf mk4 with primer then laquered- looked f*cking MINT.

Yes, loads of laquer, because you won't be able to see (very well) if you've missed a bit.

Are you thinking of doing your whole car? You will have to do it all in a day or so or it will start to go rusty! Get it nice and polished and then laquer it.

would certainly be different.

painted in primer... tnen Laquer, god! why? best to get some proper grey paint. Primer is porous, that's why the paint sticks to it so well.

It was black primer dave- looked f*cking awesome- my favourite paintjob ever.
Has to be seen- cant really describe the matt effect of it

if you do it it would probably be beter to use paint striper rather than sand paper to rub it down, avoiding scratches.

Get a polished 'alloy' bonnet, roof and an alloy rear wing.

Like carbon fiber, but shiny.

Freak - he never actually lacquered it - just sprayed the whole in black primer - looks mint but he carries a little touh up brush with him!

If he lacquered it it would just go glossy (as my side skirts did :( )

Reminded me of the police cars in robocop!

I was thinking about a bare metal car but like novaboy says need to do it in a day and you can guarantee it would start to rust!

Best thing is to get body absolutely perfect smooth and spray it in chrome! Or have car stripped and chromed!

Cost a packet but would be well smart.

Prob get busted by the police for causing a fire/dazzle hazard - imaging on a hot day sun reflecting off her car into some dry bushes!

 8)

Be too hot to touch!
