97 corsa management light help please

got a 97 1200 corsa with management light on as they prob all have by now
but getting quite annoying to see,i took the bulb out today and the car was not to happy about it,didnt want to run and batt died very quick any gen on why:confused: ? thanks in advance

ok adam im very simple minded and can just about get the gist of it from reading,bridge 2 wires watch for dash flash and look up codes thats about as far as i got lol,any other ways to just get the damn light off?

Does it stil run? it cant be serious, just put some black tape on the dash, seen loadsa cars like that, or yeah bridge the wires and find out whats wrong, probs egr valve or something like that, never known a car not run without a managment light... maybe put a blown bulb in there? not that i know how to do all these naughty ways of extinguishing managment lights.

ALDL? EOBD plug is in the fuse box drivers side :)

1.2 spi? can't be much to go wrong with them tbh!! I'd sat dizzy or cts. flash the codes off though.
